Debt Negotiation Advice

Has anyone actually used debt settlement and it worked?

I am considering debt settlement and I am very scared after looking at some of these posts. Has anyone actually used it and it worked for them without a problem? I am currently current on all my credit cards bills, but I don't think I can keep it up and I am wondering if this is an option. I don't want to have to go to court.

  1. I used Consumer Credit Counseling years ago and they were great!
  2. All debt settlement companys are scams except for Consumer Credit Counseling Agency.
  3. Yes of cource
  4. yes, i'm using them and they are working great for me!
  5. Check Google for the statute of limitations on credit card debts in your state. It's probably about 3 years. Just hide from your creditors for that long and you're debt-free, but they may still try to collect. Tell them not to call any more and they're supposed to stop. Credit reporting agencies only go back 7 years. After that, you're good as new. Why bother with lawyers and bankruptcy? I hope you learn to pay cash from now on. Credit isn't for emergencies. Savings are. Don't forget to check Google, like I said.
